Bellport Varsity Football Wins 2010 LI Class II Title

ClippersOn November 27th, the Bellport Clippers took on Garden City in the Class II Long Island Championship game. Bellport won 26-21. Way to go Clippers!

On Saturday December 4th there was a parade in Bellport Village to honor the 2010 Long Island Suffolk County Division II Champion Bellport Football Team. The parade recognized the outstanding season had by the Bellport Football program and the community they represent. The parade also honored Head Coach Joseph L. Cipp Jr., who this season became the “winningest” football coach in Suffolk County history when he finished the season with 211 total career wins. Click on the photo above to view a larger version. 2010 Homecoming

HomecomingUnlike last year, the weather couldn’t have been better this year. We had 70 degrees and clear blue skies. The Homecoming Parade kicked off at 11am and traveled down Station Road to the Four Corners and then East on Main Street. Everyone came out to support their Clippers! Unfortunately, Bellport suffered a loss of 12-9 against North Babylon in the game later that day. We'll win next year, for sure! Click here to see photos of this year's Homecoming Parade.

2009 Homecoming

Homecoming 2009Gloomy weather didn't stop another terrific Homecoming Parade this year! Everyone came out to support their Clippers! Unfortunately, Bellport suffered a disappointing loss of 3-0 against West Islip in the game later that day. They'll win next year, for sure!

2008 Homecoming

2008 Homecoming ParadeAlthough the weather was threatening at times, not a drop of rain fell and the sun even poked out at times. The Homecoming Parade ran south on Station Road and then turned east onto Main Street at the four corners. As usual, there was a great turnout in town to celebrate Homecoming. To top if all off, the final score at the Homecoming football game was Bellport 21, Centereach 0. It doesn’t get much better! Click here to see photos from the Homecoming Parade.
