The Bellport Camera Club strives to bring together people who have an interest in sharing their knowledge and expertise in the field of photography. New techniques and equipment are subjects often under discussion, along with the latest advances in digital imaging. An important objective of the club is to encourage members to engage in photography and present their photographs at the meetings for all to enjoy and to describe details involved in producing the print(s). Topics for photographs are assigned at each meeting. Participation in this activity is encouraged but is voluntary.

Anyone wishing to join our organization will find a friendly group from which to learn or share their knowledge with the members. The only requirement for membership is an interest in photography. We are interested in attracting new members and gaining wider recognition.

The Bellport Camera Club meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month, at 7:00pm at various locations around Bellport. All are welcome to meetings as they are open to the public.

An exhibit of members' photographs are displayed at the South Country Library each year. New events are also being considered.

Upcoming Bellport Camera Club Events

Meetings
The Bellport Camera Club meets on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Auditorium of Mary Immaculate Church (second floor classroom), 16 Browns Lane, Bellport.  Special workshops are scheduled throughout the year, and are usually held in the South Country Library with advance notification given.

Recent Bellport Camera Club Events

The Bellport Camera Club has been very busy! They recently participated in the Kendra & Friends Art Show Fundraiser that was held at the Bellport United Methodist Church. The club's President, Hank Velten, is shown in the photo to the left adjusting one of his photographs. The Bellport Camera Club sold five photographs for the benefit of OCEANS. They felt that it was very enjoyable to plan an exhibit of this sort, and very rewarding when the project was such a success. 

In addition, the club recently took a field trip to Newport, Rhode Island. Although the weather was damp and foggy, club members were able to take some remarkable photographs. The photos below were taken on the "Cliff Walk."
