• The village's snow removal team. They gave us clean streets when Sayville and Patchogue still had two foot high snow rings at the curb that made it impossible to get near their shops and restaurants. Bravo!

• All those who came out for the 1st Annual Holiday Dog Parade and Contest: to Patrice Casanova, Bellport resident and professional photographer for taking the photographs, to Kate Madsen, local resident and noted painter, for judging the contest; to Megan, Wags, and Karen, Bellport's pet sitter, for helping to spread the word and finally to Whalen's Market, Wags, Karen, Candid Like Life and Porters for contributing the prizes. And, let's not forget, Mayor David Pate for giving out the prizes.

• The Boys & Girls Club of Bellport's Steel Band and the Bellport Middle School Jazz Choir who weathered the storms to perform for us and The Coffee Shop for providing the hot chocolate.

• To Sherry Binnington for spear heading the lighted trees program that decked all the village light polls and to the shopkeepers and restaurants for their wonderful decorations.
