The South Country School District is rich in resources.  The Bellport High School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) seeks community members who would volunteer their time to speak to our members, our students regarding relevant topics that face our students, their parents and our school.

For the latest information regarding our organization, a calendar of events for the PTSA and the high school, as well as volunteer opportunities for all community members, visit our website listed above.

Bellport High School PTSA, Atrium Buy-A-Brick program

Once again, you can purchase a gift, to honor or to remember, that lasts a lifetime AND helps with the ongoing beautification of the gardens and grounds at Bellport High School! Volunteer parents and students need your support in this revitalized community-wide effort! Bricks are top-quality Cambridge pavers, engraved by hand by a local craftsman, and enhanced with black engravers paint for maximum impact and durability.

PTSA News

Here we go with another school year! Building renovation is still in progress at Bellport High School; things are looking good! To keep up with the beautification of the building, we, the PTSA are looking to beautify the campus with plantings, landscape maintenance, etc.

We have a group of volunteers that we're calling “The Bellport Diggers” who are hard at work planning various beautification projects to make our school a show place. First in order is the entrance to the school. We want a warm welcome for our students, teachers and staff members. We have limited resources and all the work will be volunteer. We are looking for help from local landscapers and suppliers who might be willing to lend a hand and provide flowers, shrubs and the like at REAL discount prices.

A second project is our Atrium. In 1996 a group of talented students designed and created a beautiful atrium complete with a gazebo and water feature. The walk ways are made of bricks purchased by alumni, parents, community members and other supporters of Bellport High School. The atrium has been minimally maintained...until now! Our Diggers will be focusing on this beautiful area in the school, bringing it back to its former beauty. We could use support here as well. If you would like to support the Atrium, you can do so by purchasing a brick for $25. It will be inscribed as you request and placed in atrium walkway. You can also volunteer to lend a hand or make a donation that will help us maintain this important part of BHS.

We have a lot more planned for this school year and thank you for your support in promoting our school and our students!

If you are interested in helping with any of the current PTSA projects, contact Terri Hall at 631-286-0823 or via email at ptsabhs@yahoo.com.
