Every summer, Bellport holds the "Clipper Classic" 5K Run and 1500 Fun
Walk through the Village. The race starts at
the Gateway Theatre, loops through the Village, and finishes at the Marina.
With hundreds of runners and dozens of walkers, this race
is a huge event
that is not to be missed!

If you were one of the runners in this year’s Bellport Clipper Classic, we

2008
marked the 25th year of the Clipper Classic race. The weather
was hot and humid, but that didn't stop hundreds of people from
participating in the annual race.

What started as a rather hot July day,
turned into a perfect summer evening by the time the race was set to
start. Bellport Trustee,
Sherry Binnington, even participated in the race! Way to go,
