![]() Every December a Holiday Parade and Festival
is held in downtown Bellport Village.
This festive day starts with a "Breakfast with Santa" at the Community
Center, followed by numerous winter holiday events in the Village.
A "Soup Contest" is held for local restaurants where
Bellport residents are the lucky judges. The Holiday Parade through the Village begins at Browns
Lane and South Country Road, and finishes at the steps of the Community
Center, where local groups hold sing-a-longs and small concerts. The day
concludes with the official tree lighting to kick off the holiday
season!
Unfortunately, there wasn't the usual Holiday Parade this year, but the annual tree lighting went on as scheduled on Saturday, December 2nd. Once again Jack Elsworth and his wife Dot were on hand to broadcast the event on WALK radio. The highlight of the event was a performance by the wonderful Bellport High School Gospel Chorale!
