Local Theatre
The Village of Bellport offers two fantastic options to see
local theatre: The Gateway Playhouse and The Playcrafters Theatre Group.
The
Gateway Playhouse is Long Island's only professional musical
theatre. 2007 marks Gateway's 58th year of producing high class
entertainment. Because of its longevity and reputation, they are able to
attract a high caliber of professional directors, performers, musicians,
and technicians from New
York
City, and around the country. Click on the photo to the left for more
information about The Gateway Playhouse.
Playcrafters
is a not-for-profit Community Theatre Group. Since its inception in
1960, Playcrafters has strived to present the very best in amateur
theatre and have encouraged interest in the performing arts by awarding
Bellport High School Students' scholarships as they pursue their
education in the
arts.
They provide an outlet for local talent and offer reasonably
priced
tickets to our local and neighboring communities.
